We have already taken a look at the Caravan Dish Satellite System in detail and found the Alden system to be the better satellite dish. The Dome satellite system is something altogether different. The dome satellite systemconsists of a smaller more acurate dish encased in a protective dome.

Size and Tracking options

The Dome Caravan Satellite System comes in only two sizes, a 30 cm and a 40cm dome. However they come with two different tracking options; in-motion sat dome or static sat dome. The different sizes of dome are to enable you to go further and still receive English television. The tracing options enable you to either watch television as you move along (In-Motion) or watch television once you are parked. Obviously the In-Motion version is of no use to the caravan owner as you will never watch satellite television as you move.

The Contenders.

We have again looked around the internet and established that only 3 manufacturers make a dome satellite system.
  1. Camos Sat Dome: Static Version
  2. TracVision R4
The dome satellite system seems to be only avaliable in 2 sizes a 30cm and a 40cm. As the only 30cm dome is the Camos Sat Dome 30cm: Static, this wins the prize for the smallest system. Its weight is a mear9.4 Kg's it is also the lightest system. It is perfect for use in the UK and europe. As for the 40cm systems, here are the facts. H=Height D=Diameter (space needed on roof)
